It was the perfect spring day for a winery lunch, and a group of Springtree residents made the most of it with a trip to The Squires Winery, just a 40-minute drive from the community.
Our Community Manager, Susan Plum, organised a private bus so everyone could relax, enjoy the beautiful countryside, and indulge in a few glasses of local wine without worrying about the drive home.
Almost twenty residents joined the outing, with a few choosing to drive themselves and the rest hopping aboard the bus for a relaxed day of good food, laughter, and connection. The group enjoyed a long lunch overlooking the vines, where the atmosphere was just as good as the menu.
As one resident shared:
“Thank you so much for arranging a great trip. Best food and atmosphere – totally loved it!”
Another added:
“It was such a great day out. Everyone had a wonderful time, and the food was amazing!”
And for those who weren’t quite ready for the day to end, the bus made one last spontaneous stop on the way home, a quick drink at Club Mulwala, because why not?
